Dear Irish Students and Parents
I first wanted to congratulate you on how wonderful you all were in the recital. I couldn't have been more proud of you all, the Irish numbers gave me goosebumps every time I watched :) My job as your dance instructor is so rewarding and I have you talented students to thank for that!
I also wanted to encourage all my students to sign up for summer classes. Summer classes are extremely important for those students who would like to continue to excel in Irish. Most of the Summer is focused on technique and mastering challenging traditional steps rather than choreographed recital pieces. Much of the years progress can be lost during the summer months and I would like to especially encourage any student taking XL next year to register for at least one of the summer sessions, if not both. Those who plan to begin hard shoe should sign up for summer classes so they will be eligible for placement for next fall. I am excited for the Irish program to grow this coming year and it starts with this summer!
There are also Irish workshops that I would also encourage any beginners or XL dancers to participate in. These camps will be run just like my competition school ran summer camps in Chicago in order to give the Students an amazing experience and to push them to grow as dancers. I am excited about this summer and hope you will be too!
